🔸 HRC honors International Trans Day of Visibility. Held annually on March 31, International Transgender Day of Visibility is a time to celebrate transgender and non-binary people around the globe and acknowledge the courage it takes to live openly and authentically. 

🔸Advocates also use the day to raise awareness around discrimination and violence that trans people still face.

🔸Transgender Day of Visibility first began in 2009.

1.Assam's highest civilian award 'Assam Baibhav' for the year 2023 has been conferred on renowned medical practitioner Dr. Tapan Saikia. He has been given this award for his remarkable contribution in the field of healthcare (cancer care) and public service.

2.Egypt has become a new member of the BRICS-backed New Development Bank. Egypt joined the BRICS New Development Bank (NDB), weeks after BRICS President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi visited India as the chief guest at the Republic Day celebrations. The New Development Bank was formerly known as the BRICS Development Bank.

3.Former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff has been elected unopposed as the new president of the New Development Bank (NDB). Rousseff will replace Marcos Trohio as head of the NDB. NDB is a multilateral financial institution, established by the countries included in the BRICS group (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). It was earlier known as BRICS Bank. It was established in the year 2015. It’s headquarter is Shanghai, China.

4.The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide a loan of up to Rs 754 crore to SAEL Industries Limited for setting up biomass power plants in Rajasthan.

5.Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav launched the Aravalli Green Wall project in Gurugram, which aims to cover 5 km area with trees around the Aravalli hill range in Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Delhi.

6.The Network Planning Group has approved six infrastructure projects related to renewable energy, roads and railways under the PM Gati Shakti initiative. 

7.Shrimant Kokte, a renowned Marathi writer and historian, has published his first English book "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj".

8.Grammarly, an online text editing platform based on artificial intelligence, has appointed Indian-origin Rahul Roy Chowdhury as its next CEO. Chowdhary is currently the Global Head of Product at Grammarly. He will replace Brad Hoover as CEO. 

9.India's women boxers have won four golds while performing brilliantly in the IBA Women's World Boxing Championship-2023. Country's top boxer Nikhat Zareen has won gold in her category by performing brilliantly. Neetu Ghanghas won India's first gold medal by defeating Mongolia's Lutsekhan Altansetseg in the final of 45-48 kg category. Apart from these, India's Sweety Boora and Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain also won gold for India. Nikhat Zareen has become the second Indian to win more than one gold medal in the World Boxing Championships. Earlier, this feat was done by India's veteran Mary Kom.
